Extension to the Kindergarten in Belyakovets Village

The project for the extension of the kindergarten in the village of Belyakovets, Veliko Tarnovo Municipality, has been developed on the basis of the Technical Brief and the attached site plan, planning visa, and volumetric and spatial study, approved by the Ministry of Culture.

The project also complies with contemporary European approaches and practices in early childhood education and care. The aim is for the kindergarten building to respond as closely as possible to children’s perception of the world, to be straightforward to implement, and to reflect current trends in childcare, the development of kindergarten typology, and sustainable architecture.

At the same time, the project takes into account the context of the historic environment. The site is located within the protection zone of the individual immovable cultural property of artistic significance: the Church of St. Paraskeva, declared an artistic cultural monument. The church was built in 1873–1874 to a design by master builder Kolyu Ficheto.
